Aventura Hotel Staycation

Happy Thursday babes! I am trying to play catch up since getting back super late the other night from our vacation! Although it definitely feels good to get back into the swing of things! Today I wanted to recap the amazing staycation Griffin and I had at Universal Orlando’s Aventura Hotel! The hotel just opened in August so everything is gorgeous and brand spankin’ new! We checked in on a Sunday and went up to our room with the most amazing view of Volcano Bay! I just love the large windows they have in every room! After that we went and explored all the amazing amenities like, the Starbucks down stairs, the food hall that has everything from breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, and the gorgeous pool area! After that we went and freshened up and went up to the gorgeous rooftop bar, Bar 17 Bistro. The rooftop bar has the most amazing views and we got to enjoy the gorgeous sunset while sipping mocktails before heading off to dinner. What I loved the most about our stay was the free shuttle to City Walk that comes every few minutes! City Walk is right before the entrance to both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure that is lined with shops, awesome restaurants, putt putt, and a movie theater, so there is definitely a ton to do in the area! The first night we did dinner at The Cowfish Sushi & Burger bar (yum!) and then headed to a movie.

On Monday we slept in a bit and then quickily headed off to the parks via the Aventura Hotel shuttle! We got to explore the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which was my favorite, and all the fun little sections of both Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. Although it kind of stunk I couldn’t go on any of the awesome rides! #preggoproblems! We still made the best of it and got mocktails and snacks at a bunch of the restaurants inside the park! After a day of walking (my feet were feeling it) we went back to the hotel to freshen up and headed back to City Walk for an amazing dinner at Vivo Italian Kitchen and then a TO DIE FOR dessert from The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. This place is so cool and has the retro steampunk vibe! I cannot wait to go back after baby because their cocktails looked amazinggggg! I mean chocolate cocktails?! Sign me up!

Tuesday we took it pretty easy since I was pretty tired from the parks so we slept in, got breakfast down stairs, and then did a lazy day by the pool. There is also an awesome bar right by the pool called Sol Bar. After a relaxing day we headed home! I cannot thank Aventura Hotel enough for having us! It was the perfect little beginning of the week break! Definitely check them out if you are looking for a hotel in Orlando and especially if you are visiting Universal’s parks! I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your week and weekend! <3
