Happy Friday Eve babes! I am so excited we are finally almost to the weekend! Did this week drag or what?! So I am SOOO excited to FINALLY share Baby J’s nursery! We got most of it done pretty quick and then slacked on the finishing touches, but we are officially finally done! I am so in love with how it came it out! We went with a woodland/boho theme that kind of reminds me of the Lost Boys, which I love since Peter Pan has always been one of my favorite stories! We wanted to do a lot of extra touches to really make the space feel warm and homy. I also love that their are small touches of our grandparents that we lost last year, like the mini canoe I found in my Mimi’s house and (not pictured) we are hanging a small antique banjo we found in Griffin’s Grandaddy’s house on the back wall by the closet. We also did a ton of DIY! The dresser is this dresser from Ikea, but Griffin added a base and legs to it, pulls, and white vinyl triangles on all of the drawers. We made the feather mobile from this tutorial and the banner on the window. Also we completely winged the DIY teepee and made it from broomsticks and faux suede fabric, and I just love how it came out! My favorite part of the nursery is definitely the wallpaper! I actually came across this wallpaper a while back and feel in love, but it was extremely pricey so I went for a hunt for something similar. Of course Amazon never lets me down and I found the EXACT wallpaper for about 1/8 of the price! I will try to link as much as possible below! Overall we are so happy with how it turned out and we cannot wait for Baby J to see it! <3

Showering Baby J
Happy Thursday loves! Can I get an Amen that we are almost to the weekend! So like you all know I had my baby shower this weekend and I have been itching to share some pictures with you! My mom and mother in law threw it for me and they seriously made it the shower of my dreams and I cannot thank them enough! They did EVERYTHING themselves from all the crafts, to the desserts, and food! Every detail was seriously adorable! All I told them is I wanted a rustic woodland theme and they ran with it and made every detail so gorgeous! It was so wonderful seeing all of my friends and family and celebrate our sweet baby boy! He is so loved already and he is so lucky to have so many amazing people care about him! Especially two amazing grandmas that I know are going to spoil the heck out of him with love! I hope you all have an amazing weekend! <3
Baby Shower Invites
Happy Monday babes! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Good thing my baby bump hid my food baby because I definitely ate way too much this weekend! It was definitely amazing to getting some much needed down time with family! Although I am sad Thanksgiving has passed, I am super excited for my baby shower next weekend and I thought I would give you a peek at my invites! I have used Shutterfly for my Christmas cards for years so when I was looking for the perfect invites I knew there was no other place to look! I love that their sister shop Tinyprints has the best selection of foiled cards! I went with these gold foiled rustic looking invites that go perfect with the woodland theme of my shower! I love how easy they were to customize and just fill in. My favorite part about ordering from Shutterfly and Tinyprints are the customizable envelopes and liners! If you get a customized envelope you also get printed addressing for free! It just makes everything look so put together! Not only do they have the cutest invites, I also got customizable stamps, thank you cards, and address stickers! I just ordered our Christmas cards from Shutterfly this weekend too and I cannot wait to show you them! Keep an eye out on my Instagram stories Sunday for baby shower sneak peeks, but I will definitely make sure to post some pictures here on the blog in the next coming weeks! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday! <3
Second Trimester Bump Update
Happy Hump Day, Bump Day loves! This week I am 25 weeks and I thought it was the perfect time to do my second trimester bump update! I cannot believe in a little over a month I will be in my third trimester! Like what?! I have loved my second trimester so far! Feeling his little kicks and rolls nonstop is my favorite thing ever! I felt him pretty early, around 16 weeks, even Griffin could feel him and my Dr thought I was crazy since she thought it was a little too early to feel him from the outside haha. I swear I just have a Hulk child and also my placenta is posterior (or in the back of my uterus) so that usually lets you feel the baby sooner since they don’t have to kick through the pillowy placenta before getting to your uterus. My second trimester still has been pretty uneventful, thankfully! Pregnancy has felt super natural to me and I have really just felt normal. I was having a bit of sciatic pain, which I have had before getting pregnant too and went to a chiropractor and have been good ever since! I am going to be going to them once every month before I deliver just so I can be nice and aligned for birth since I have heard that it can help greatly! I do have some round ligament pain on and off as well, but my Dr says that it is completely normal. I am just praying everything continues to go smoothly and uneventful since I know things can get a little rough or uncomfortable once you enter the third trimester! I will keep you updated! <3
How am I feeling?
Pretty darn good! I definitely can’t complain! I do get tired a little more easily, but that is to be expected. My feet hurt easily now, which is more in the heels of my feet so wearing heels is almost more comfortable for me oddly! Also, the bit of round ligament pain and I have days where a feel pressure and it makes me have to pee a lot, but then some days I don’t. I am guessing it may be related to the position he is in? I know the peeing constantly days are not far away though haha! I get my glucose test in a week and I am praying that all goes well!
What am I Craving?
Uhhh everything! Haha no seriously I am hungry all the time it feels and I definitely want all the sweets! It is odd because in my first trimester I didn’t really want sweets, just salty and now it has completely flipped! I have always been a cookies and milk girl and now that craving is times 10! I have to eat them every night haha!
Food Aversions
Most of my food aversions have gone away, but I still haven’t been all about the avocados though. I have been able to eat them in sushi (cooked sushi that is don’t freak out ;)) so it is definitely an improvement! I love me a good shrimp tempura roll! Yum!
What Have I Been Wearing?
I definitely have been living in maternity jeans and flowy dresses. It has been a struggle for me finding cute tops that are long enough for maternity jeans that are not long sleeved. It hasn’t quite cooled down enough for long pants and long sleeves yet here, but I am waiting for the day to pull out the comfy oversized sweaters!
How’s Baby J?
We had our anatomy scan at 20 weeks and he looks perfect, thank the good Lord! He measured right on and got confirmation he is still a boy! She didn’t give me the best of pictures so one of my friends is going to scan me in two weeks so I can have some more pictures, hopefully! He was completely face down which made it difficult, but we still got to see his cute face and he was even practicing sucking! So adorable! We also have a first name!! We are still working on the middle, but we plan on keeping it hush hush until he is born! :)

Gender Reveal Party
Happy Hump Day loves! I can’t believe we are half way through the week already! I am so excited today because I am having my 20 week ultrasound today! I cannot wait to see our little guy! I have been feeling him like crazy so I can’t wait to see what he’s been up to in there and of course just hoping he’s healthy! So today I am sharing some pictures from our gender reveal party we had last month. My mom and I handmade all the decor on my Cricut and I just love how it all turned out! If you are a serious crafter you need a Cricut in your life! I’m so obsessed with it! I even made the cupcake holders with it! I am already thinking of crafts I can do for the nursery too! All the frames we got are from thrift stores, the champagne flutes are dollar store finds, and the mimosa bar carafes (which were hard to find not super pricey) I ended up finding at Aldi! It was definitely a special day we got to spend with close friends and family and of course finding out Baby J was a BOY when we shot off the confetti canons! See our gif below ;p I hope you all have an awesome Wednesday! <3
1st Trimester Bump Update
Happy hump day loves, or should I say bump day! I am excited to be sharing my very first bump update with you all! I am going to get into all about my first trimester, but honestly I was a bit lucky and it wasn’t all that eventful! When I first found out around 4 weeks my very first and only symptom was sore breasts and boy did they keep getting soarer and soarer as the weeks went on! I couldn’t stand to wear bras! Then came the fatigue! Ugh after going to the store made me feel like I needed a nap! Then around week 6 a bit of nausea started to kick in. Mine kind of came in waves but it was pretty mild. I never got to the point where I felt like I was going to vomit, thank goodness! I more had the feeling that everything, especially smells, made me want to gag! Going to the grocery store was awful smelling the mix of food. I would literally start gagging walking down the aisles. So cute right?! Along with that fabulous gagging feeling came major food aversions. For about 2 weeks the only things I could eat were carbs! That is all I wanted. Don’t bring anything else near me! I am lucky I only had 2 really bad weeks of feeling like that and as I hit around 9 weeks each week increasingly became better and I felt more like myself. Now that I hit my second trimester I have to remind myself that I am pregnant because I feel completely normal! They say your second trimester is a breeze and I am lucky mine has been so far, knock on wood! I will update you though once I get half way through the second trimester!
Baby J is a……
Happy almost Friday loves!! Griffin and I are soooooo excited to announce Baby J is a BOY!!!! We are so excited to finally be able to start planning and everything is now feeling so real!! I am already going boy clothes and nursery crazy! If you are a boy mom send me all the cute boy clothes stores!! Griffin is also super pumped for a little boy to play golf with haha! Now we just need to figure out his name! We had a lot of potential girl names lined up but for some reason boy names have been really tough for us! Hoping to narrow one down soon! As for my dress I don’t think I have ever seen a prettier dress! The ruffles are so gorgeous, fun, and unique! It is also currently on sale fully stocked! We have an exciting weekend ahead and doing a mini staycation for our 6 year anniversary. We decided to just do fun things around town and skip the trip this year to save money towards all the baby stuff we will be getting the next few months. I cannot believe it has been 6 years already! We have so much to celebrate this year and I cannot wait to see Griffin become a father! He is going to be the best daddy in the universe! I am beyond lucky! I am praying our son is just like him! Because if he’s like me we may be in a bit of trouble ;p I hope you all have the best weekend! <3
