Happy Monday! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Only 3 more days until Christmas! I have to say it doesn’t get much more classic than a black midi skirt. I think it is one of those items that everyone needs to have in their closet. As soon as you throw it on, you just feel instantly chic! With Christmas being right around the corner, I thought it would only be appropriate to go a little holiday glam with my classic midi. I went for all black and paired it with a long sleeve lace crop top. I accessorized with pearls to up the glam factor and finished this look with a red lip, because you can never do the holidays without a red lip! I hope everyone has an amazing start to their week and is almost done with their holiday shopping! <3

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had a fabulous and restful weekend! Once December hits I just can’t get enough of Holiday looks! What I love about this one is that it is a little more subtle so you can wear it not just to a Holiday party! I scored this adorable tweed buffalo check skirt from Forever 21 and I knew it would be perfect for the cooler weather! I went for a black and white look and paired it with a basic white sweater and added some sparkle with a statement necklace. To funk it up a little, I threw on some polka dotted tights and added a pop of color with these amazing SugarPair wine booties, which are on sale for 40% off for Green Monday! Also, if you missed yesterday’s post, I have teamed up with some pretty awesome bloggers to give away $400 to Nordstrom! I reposted the widget below to enter! I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! <3
Happy Tuesday loves! I hope you all are having a great start to your week!! Today I am super excited to be teaming up with 7 other amazing bloggers to bring you a Holiday Look Book just in time for all those Holiday parties! All you have to do is click on their picture to see their full look and post! For my Holiday look, I went with a vintage beaded and sequin top, because of course the more sparkle the better! I scored this beauty at my favorite local vintage shop and I couldn’t resist it with the Holidays approaching! I paired it with some leather pants to give this look more of a playful, but I am here to party vibe! ;) I had to throw in some red, so I finished this look with a bold red lip and clutch! I hope everyone has a great day and don’t forget to check out the rest of the Holiday Look Book by clicking on the ladies above! <3
Happy Monday loves!! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!! I had a blast in Miami to celebrate my birthday weekend, but the celebration is just getting started on the blog this week! Since my birthday and one year anniversary of Upbeat Soles was on Saturday we are going to party it up all week! ;) To kick it off, I thought sequins were only appropriate! This to die for blush sequin midi from Saule Boutique can take any celebration up a notch! Also, how perfect would it be for the Holidays?! I wanted to stick with pastels for this look, so I paired my blush skirt with a gray lace crop top and added some sparkle with a statement necklace. Now for the fun part, I have teamed up with 25 gorgeous bloggers to host a $400 gift card giveaway to Nordstrom! How amazing would it be to win a $400 gift card right before the Holidays?! All you have to do is fill out the Rafflecopter below, remember the more entries you make the better chance you have to win! This is an international giveaway so everyone can enter! I’m backkkkkkkk!!! I’ve missed ya’ll! But let me tell you how good it felt to get away for a week, AMAZING! The hubs and I had the best time in New Orleans and we probably gained about 10lbs each! I honestly think the food in New Orleans is the best food I have ever eaten in my life! So yum! Anyways, here is quick recap of our trip, I am going to try to summarize as best as possible to not overload you! ;)
First off, out hotel, AMAZING!! We stayed at the Le Pavillion Hotel, built in 1907, right outside of the French Quarter and it seriously made me feel like a Princess! I mean, look at those chandeliers!
On to more gorgeouness of NOLA
Jackson Square, with the statue of Andrew Jackson that has been up since 1856 after he helped win the Battle of New Orleans.
I just couldn’t get over all the beautiful architecture with the wrought iron. Which learning on one of our tours, the architecture is actually Spanish architecture, even though it’s in the French Quarter…
The oldest bar in America, so they claim ;) It use to be an old blacksmith shop.
What’s New Orleans without a little voodoo!?
You can’t go to NOLA with out going the Cafe Du Monde! The beignets were out of this world and of course I had to bring some coffee home! So delish!
Beer tasting at Crescent City Brewery. All of their beers are brewed in house and are amazing!
My second favorite breakfast on the trip, I didn’t get a picture of my first, I ate it too fast :( , at The Ruby Slipper. The french toast was da bomb!
Some of the best baked oysters I have ever had at the The Royal House and another thing you can’t go to NOLA without getting, a po boy! ;p
We toured St Louis # 1 Cemetery, which is the oldest of the cemeteries, opening in 1789. Some famous people that are buried here are, Homer Plessy (from Plessy v Ferguson), Marie Laveau (the famous voodoo priestess), also Nicholas Cage bought himself a pyramid shaped tomb for his future resting place.
Marie Laveau’s tomb with the voodoo symbol, xxx, all over it. People believe that if you make a wish and you draw the symbol on her tomb your wish will com true. Also, people put offerings, like a coke bottle! Because we all know that’s exactly what a 200 year old voodoo priestess would like!
I even found my name! Not creepy at all…
The infamous Bourbon Street, ya we didn’t spend too much time there!
On our last night, we went to this super cute jazz bar called The Little Gem, which was amazing! I mean look at that hair?! I knew he was going to be awesome even before he sang! ;)
So all in all we had an amazing time! You will see a little more throughout the week within my outfit posts! I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! ;)
Merry Christmas Eve!! So for my last outfit of my countdown to Christmas holiday looks is my glam or formal look! Let’s start with this skirt…. I can not get enough of it! Everything about it is glam! The feather detail is definitely a head turner! I have been craving a feather skirt for the longest time, but could not get myself to dish out $100 on a skirt. But when I found the skirt on Shop Dandy for $33 I almost had a heart attack! Unfortunately, the skirt sells out VERY fast and is currently sold out, so be sure to sign up for their email notification for when the skirt is back in stock! I paired this skirt with a festive, green, shimmer sweater from H&M and dressed it up with a great Target statement necklace. To give this look a pop of color, I accessorized the outfit with an amazing red Michael Kors clutch (one of my favorite Marshalls’ finds). To finish this look, I threw on an amazing studded pump! I won’t be posting for the next 2 days to spend time with family, so I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed holiday. And hopefully Santa brings you everything on your Christmas list! <3

Two more days ’till Christmas!! Today’s holiday look is a semi-formal look. What’s a holiday outfit without a great red pair of pants!? To compliment my red skinnies, I paired them with a gorg black, peplum top to dress them up a little. Peplum tops are great because they flatter any figure and give you a super skinny waist! To add some sparkle, I accessorized this look with a gold clutch and a gorgeous black, crystal, and gold statement necklace. The finishing touch to this holiday look are these amazing Valentino inspired heels! The versatile cream and black color palette take any outfit to the next level and they for sure will make you the talk of the party! <3

EEEEEEE Christmas is almost here!! Today I am starting my countdown to Christmas holiday looks. For my first look, I am going casual with my Forever 21, Zara inspired skort. I seriously love this skort! It is so versatile and so easily dressed up or down! I paired it with this amazing plaid, flowy top with a cute zipper detail from Express ( I got it during their awesome 50% off sale that is still going on!) And what’s a holiday outfit without a little sparkle!? I bought these to die for J Crew sparkle tights at the J Crew outlet while they were having 50% off everything with an additional 20% off, so snagged these tights for only about $4! To keep it casual I finished this look off with my black Target booties. <3
Ohhh… shopping for the men in our life, sometimes it seems near impossible! The constant “Oh I don’t need anything'” or “I don’t know what I want” seems to be the common occurrence. Well I have put together I little holiday gift guide to hopefully help with the frustration! I even had the hubs put in some input! Because, we all know the men in our lives don’t leave little pictures of Michael Kors purses and Tory Burch boots taped on the mirror in the bathroom (who does that???) <3
