Happy Friday Eve babes! I am so excited we are finally almost to the weekend! Did this week drag or what?! So I am SOOO excited to FINALLY share Baby J’s nursery! We got most of it done pretty quick and then slacked on the finishing touches, but we are officially finally done! I am so in love with how it came it out! We went with a woodland/boho theme that kind of reminds me of the Lost Boys, which I love since Peter Pan has always been one of my favorite stories! We wanted to do a lot of extra touches to really make the space feel warm and homy. I also love that their are small touches of our grandparents that we lost last year, like the mini canoe I found in my Mimi’s house and (not pictured) we are hanging a small antique banjo we found in Griffin’s Grandaddy’s house on the back wall by the closet. We also did a ton of DIY! The dresser is this dresser from Ikea, but Griffin added a base and legs to it, pulls, and white vinyl triangles on all of the drawers. We made the feather mobile from this tutorial and the banner on the window. Also we completely winged the DIY teepee and made it from broomsticks and faux suede fabric, and I just love how it came out! My favorite part of the nursery is definitely the wallpaper! I actually came across this wallpaper a while back and feel in love, but it was extremely pricey so I went for a hunt for something similar. Of course Amazon never lets me down and I found the EXACT wallpaper for about 1/8 of the price! I will try to link as much as possible below! Overall we are so happy with how it turned out and we cannot wait for Baby J to see it! <3

DIY Shoe Closet
Happy Thursday babes! It has been quite the week this week and I am so ready for it to be over! So today I have my most requested post, ever! I am soooo sorry it took me so long to post, but when Griffin built them we weren’t originally thinking of doing a post so we didn’t do a step by step pictures so I apologize if the steps are a little confusing. Let me know if you have any questions at all! But here it is, how to convert an Ikea Billy Book Shelves into a built in shoe closet! Ps you can also make it into a home library as well! Let’s get to it!
How to Paint Tile Floor
Happy Thursday loves! All I have to say is thank goodness it’s almost the weekend! I feel like this week has been dragging! So I get sooooo many questions on my closet office since we did everything ourselves and one the questions I get is how we painted the tile floors. Honestly I feel like the black floors make the room and it was actually super simple! It makes the floor look so much more lux with only the cost of paint! Ok let’s get to it!
DIY Table Tray
Happy Friday Eve babes! How is it the weekend already?! Although I am definitely not complaining! So I know I have said a while back that I want to start doing more home decor and DIY posts, well today is finally the day! Griffin and I love doing DIYs, or more I think of ideas and Griffin does the actual DIYing. lets be honest. Although I like helping! So today we made the cutest rustic table tray for our breakfast nook and I just love how it came out! It was all used from things we already had in the garage as well (minus the handles). We used a super fun and easy technique for the distressing that you don’t even have to use sandpaper and will power to do! Less work = my kind of work! Ok let’s get to it!
Closet Office Reveal
Happy Friday Eve loves! Can you believe we’re almost to the weekend already?! Where did this week go?! So remember when I told you Griffin and I were working on a big house project and I have been wanting to add in some home decor to the blog, well the day has finally come!! Yay! I have been wanting to convert a spare bedroom into a closet forever since I was majorly outgrowing the closet in our bedroom and I am so happy we finally did it! Of course I had to go with a black and white theme since you all know that’s my favorite, but added some pops of gold here and there. Basically my new room matches my blog now ;) This to die for cowhide zebra print rug from RugsUSA was my big inspiration for the room! It is absolutely to die for! You can get 15% off any RugsUSA brand rug for yourself with code ‘UPBEAT’! They have the most amazing selection at the best prices! For the shoe shelves we did a little Ikea hack and gave the Billy Bookcases a built in look by propping them up and adding molding on the top and bottom. You can see the tutorial on how we did it here!

Happy Hump Day babes! Thank goodness this crazy week is already halfway over! So I and pretty much everyone else has covered how amazing the sales are from the Normstrom Anniversary sale are when it comes to fashion, but what about the home section?! I have a weakness for home decor so I am pretty much going crazy over all the cuteness on mega sale! Like, I pretty much need these Home drinking jars! So perfect for a summer get together! Or this ‘Hard Stuff’ decanter, I mean so adorable right! Perfect for the bar cart! I am also digging all the rustic vibes in the sale, like this fabulous faux animal skin rug and cute caged light fixture. So Joanna Gaines approved! Sorry I am not sorry for being a Fixer Upper superfan! ;) I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday! <3
Holiday Home Tour
Happy Wednesday babes! Can you believe we are half way through the week already?! Today I am doing something a little different and doing my first home decor post! After talking about how much I love decorating for the holidays I got multiple requests on posting pictures so I decided to dedicate a post to it! Growing up I used to love helping my mom transform the house for the holidays so when we bought our home three years ago I couldn’t wait to do the same! I have always swung on the more rustic decor side so I love to bring touches of burlap, deep reds, and fresh pine into my holiday decor. It is just the epitome of cozy! Most of my decor I have accumulated over the years but about 60% of it is from Home Goods and Jo-Ann Fabrics! Just a budget friendly tip, if you get a real Christmas tree ask if you can take some of the clippings they are going to throw away! I seriously put the fresh pine all over my house, as you can see! It makes the house smell and look amazing and it is free! One last thing, I would like to brag about my husband real quick and tell you he completely built that bar cart below, even the chicken wire drawers! It is definitely my new favorite piece in the house! Do you all love decorating for the holidays?! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and ps sorry this post is picture heavy, you asked for pictures you got them! <3
